The majority of clinical trials conducted focus on disease conditions, which are encountered by the Internal Medicine Practitioner, however, the ability to apply the expertise of physician specialists has augmented the availability of additional clinical studies.

Patient Recruitment
Our geographical expanse includes a multi-cultural and diverse population of at least 450,000 potential participants with a large African American and Hispanic population based locally. Our approach to patient recruitment is three-tiered;
- FutureCare Studies affiliates with over 35 area physicians and numerous community health organizations to provide greater awareness of clinical trials throughout the geographic distribution. This "patient support network" is kept apprised of our ongoing studies through personal on-site visits, informational presentations and distribution of patient-oriented brochures, newsletters and study-specific flyers containing study summaries and patient
inclusion/exclusion criteria. All patient materials are previously IRB approved.

Our marketing plan includes consistent and frequent use of both general and study-specific advertisements to significantly increase patient enrollment, including targeted radio, newsprint, in-home mailings, web-site access and television to augment patient recruitment. We have our own database of over 4000 candidates. A full time patient recruiter ensures the successful outcome of our patient enrollment goals.
- As a result of our community network and broad marketing efforts, interest from potential subjects is growing. These potential patients are prescreened through an extensive telephone interview process designed to transform that interest into study participation. Phone call reminders are placed to patients 24 hours prior to all scheduled visits to increase visit compliance. Our experienced staff qualifies patients for current studies according to patient inclusion/exclusion criteria. Patients excluded, but interested in future participation, are entered into our enrollment database enabling fast, easy identification for upcoming studies.
